From The Inverloch Cheese Co., Award-Winning Campbeltown Loch Cheese is made with local Kintyre milk. An unpressed cheese, it has natural spaces in its pate and is rindwashed for two months before being wrapped.
The recipe incorporates blue cheese cultures and the holes in the interior may have varying degrees of visible blue mould. Its rind gives a strong aroma, whilst the body of the cheese has notes of cheddar.
Campbeltown Loch cheese won a Gold Award at the 2017 Artisan Cheese Awards.
